Students:
the Attendance Challenge qualification list is posted. If your name is on the
list, you will be invited to attend the celebration on Wednesday, January 30
from 10:45 a.m. – 11:34 a.m. (4th period). Many prizes and food will
be given out at this event. The grand prize will be announced next week, so
stay tuned.
Seniors: Ad’s for Grads information was mailed home
and is due no later than Feb 8th, please turn in your information to
Mr. Rouse or to Marti in the student store.
Upward
Bound Simpson Students: Upward Bound will be taking
students on a 1 day college campus field trip to UC Berkeley and University of
San Francisco on Wednesday February 20th. This trip includes free
meals and sightseeing at the Golden Gate Bridge! Stop by the Go Center and see
Mr. Zippay to learn more and to sign up. Students with highest GPA will get
priority consideration.
Shasta TRIO students: if you are
interested in participating in an overnight TRIO Leadership Conference at
Humboldt State, please stop by the GO Center and pick up a permission slip from
Mrs. Esparza. Space is limited, so get your permission in
ASAP.
Students! Shasta TRIO ETS program has openings! If you are a
student that would like additional FREE resources to help you plan and prepare
for college, please stop by the GO Center and pick up an application. We
are currently accepting applications in all grade levels. Services
offered include career awareness and exploration, academic
advising, financial literacy, college campus field trips and cultural
events. Talk to Mrs. Esparza if you have any questions or would like to
know more about program.
ROP
Preview Week is here! Today’s presentations in the Library will be -- 1st
period: CISCO and A+ Certification, 2nd period: Cosmetology. Meet
these ROP teachers and find out if ROP is right for you. Activity Release is
required!
Juniors:
There is an information meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, February 6th in the Library for any Juniors interested in spending
their Senior year at Shasta College earning both high school and college
credits. Interested juniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to
apply. An instructor from College Connection will be there to present
information on the program and to answer any questions. See your counselor for
more information, or click on the College Connection link under Academics on
the Shasta College website.
