Attention Seniors: On Wednesday, September 27th @ 6:00pm, in the AUHS Library:  Senior/Senior Parent Information Night.  This event provides an overview of the year for seniors, including important dates/deadlines, graduation, college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid information. Attention All Students Interested in Powder Puff: The Leadership Team will be hosting a booth TODAY during lunch, for Powder Puff sign ups. All students are welcome to represent their class in powder puff football or powder puff cheerleading. More information will be available at the booth. Remember, rosters are designated first come first serve.

Key Club: There is a meeting TODAY, during RTI in room 326 to discuss the upcoming Blood Drive. Please don’t miss it!
Seniors:  On Saturday October 21, we will take a van to CSU, Chico for their preview day. We will tour the campus/rec center/residence halls, participate in financial aid/scholarship/admissions workshops, and meet with student support staff.  There is no fee for students.  FREE lunch will be included.  There will be limited seats available.  Please contact Mr. Martin to sign up and obtain a permission slip.

Seniors:  Want to improve your ACT scores? On Saturday October 14 WVHS will host a FREE ACT test prep workshop in their library. AUHS seniors are invited. You will receive a free workbook and practice test questions handout. Time 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  FREE snacks and pizza will be provided. Please contact Mr. Martin to sign up.         

Seniors:  On Friday October 6, GEAR UP will take seniors to Shasta College for their preview day.  Events include tours, application and financial aid workshops, information sessions, and lunch.  All events are FREE. Please contact Mr. Martin to sign up.               

Picture Retakes:  If you have had your picture taken this year at Round up or on the makeup picture day last month and are not happy with your photos and want a retake, please sign up in the Principal’s Office.  This is for students that purchased pictures only and the pictures will need to be returned on retake date of Monday, Sept. 25th to Lifetouch photographers before new photos are taken.  Please sign up Thursday and Friday by or before the end of the school day so the retake list can be submitted to Lifetouch.  Any student that enrolled after August 21st will also need to have their picture taken on September 25th so please sign up soon.

Key Club: There is a meeting tomorrow, during RTI in room 326 to discuss the upcoming Blood Drive. Please don’t miss it!

Attention Freshmen:  If you are interested in being an ASB class officer: There will be a meeting TODAY during lunch  in room #213 to elect Freshmen Class officers and begin the planning stages of the Freshmen Class float.
Seniors:  For those taking the SAT or ACT this fall, there are FREE fee waivers available. These tests should be taken by December so results can be sent to your university by January for review.  Please contact Mr. Martin for the fee waivers and schedule of test dates and locations.     
Attention All Senior Football Players: Please have the money turned in for senior night posters to Marti in the student store by October 6th.

Attention Seniors:  The National Recognition Products sales representative will be on campus TODAY at lunch time in our Cafeteria.  He will be here to collect orders for Graduation caps, gowns, announcements and other items that can be ordered.  He will also collect orders for Class Rings .  Please stop by and turn in orders or pick up graduation information or catalogs  from him so you won’t be late to place your order before prices go up.

Shasta College TRIO Talent Search students: Mrs. Patricia Esparza is the new advisor and is now located in the GO Center. She is on campus on Thursdays.  Please stop by and see her if you are a new student and would like more information about what the program has to offer, if you are a Freshman or an existing student and would like to join TRIO, stop by and see her. Shasta College TRIO takes applications all year long, but space is limited. 
Field Trip for Shasta College TRIO students:  If you are a Junior in TRIO and would like an opportunity to visit University of Nevada, Reno, stop by and pick up an application packet with Mrs. Esparza in the GO Center. Permission slips are due by October 2. Space is very limited, so please get those applications in!

Shasta College TRIO Talent Search students: Mrs. Patricia Esparza is the new advisor and is now located in the GO Center. She is on campus on Thursdays.  Please stop by and see her if you are a new student and would like more information about what the program has to offer, if you are a Freshman or an existing student and would like to join TRIO, stop by and see her.
