Juniors: There is an information meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6th in the Library for any Juniors interested in spending their Senior year at Shasta College earning both high school and college credits. Interested juniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to apply.  An instructor from College Connection will be there to present information on the program and to answer any questions. Students: The Attendance Challenge event is today! The grand prize is a PowerBeats 3 Wireless. There will be many other prizes given away and everyone will be getting pizza. Please go the P.A.C. when 3rd period is complete to attend this event. You will have to sign-in before entering the P.A.C.

Shasta TRIO students:  if you are interested in participating in an overnight TRIO Leadership Conference at Humboldt State, please stop by the GO Center and pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Esparza.  Space is limited, so get your permission in ASAP.  
Students!  Shasta TRIO ETS program has openings!  If you are a student that would like additional FREE resources to help you plan and prepare for college, please stop by the GO Center and pick up an application.  We are currently accepting applications in all grade levels.  Services offered include career awareness and exploration, academic advising, financial literacy, college campus field trips and cultural events.  Talk to Mrs. Esparza if you have any questions or would like to know more about program.

If your name is on the list, you will be invited to attend the celebration on Wednesday, January 30 from 10:45 a.m. – 11:34 a.m. (4th period). Many prizes and food will be given out at this event. The grand prize will be announced next week, so stay tuned.

Upward Bound Simpson Students: Upward Bound will be taking students on a 1 day college campus field trip to UC Berkeley and University of San Francisco on Wednesday February 20th. This trip includes free meals and sightseeing at the Golden Gate Bridge! Stop by the Go Center and see Mr. Zippay to learn more and to sign up. Students with highest GPA will get priority consideration.

Attention All students who took the ASVAB: The ASVAB interpretation session for TODAY has been cancelled due to the rally. If you were unable to attend the interpretation session yesterday, you may pick up your ASVAB results with Dani in the Go Center.

The ROP instructors will be coming to campus to meet with students and talk about the off-campus classes they teach. If you receive an invitation to attend please bring it to the presentation along with your signed Activity Release form. If you did not receive an invite, but are interested in meeting the ROP instructors, please sign-up with Dani in the Go Center. Activity Release is required!

Cub Connection:  Wonder what it's like to train a dog to be a Veteran Companion?  Come by Cub Connection today at 4 to meet a trainer and here her story about helping our Vets with this unique service!
Winter Homecoming is next week and the Theme is:  Mickey Madness
·         Today is Moana day. Dress in your favorite Hawaiian shirts and leis and make sure to come to support our boys and girls basketball team for their homecoming game against West Valley. The Blue Crew theme is Hawaiian.
·         Take a picture of yourselves dressed up for homecoming week and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #AUHSMickeyMadness for a chance to win a prize! On Friday, the person with the best picture will win a $20 Dutch Bros. gift card, from Leadership, to satisfy their caffeine cravings.

Winter Homecoming Dance:  Saturday, January 26th come experience a whole new world at our winter homecoming dance located at The Atrium in Downtown Redding.  Today is your LAST day to purchase your dance tickets in advance.  They will be on sale during lunch, cost of tickets are single $12, single w/ ASB $10, and $15 at the door.
