Prom: There is a meeting after school on Wednesday, January 23rd in room 326. We will be planning for the 2019 Prom and deciding on a theme. Mrs. Bradlyn needs all hands on deck. If you are interested in helping please don't miss it!

Reminder:  If you are trying out for a Spring sport (Baseball, Softball, Track, Boys Tennis or Golf) you MUST have a completed sports packet on file and acquire a Gold Card for that sport.  Request a Gold Card from Ms. Murphy in the student store.

Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors: The College OPTIONS Summer Program Scholarship is an open opportunity for all   9th – 11th graders to attend academic enrichment programs on college campuses throughout the United States or internationally. This program allows for local students to have a college experience by taking classes, living in residence halls and interacting with students from other parts of California, the nation and the world. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Stop by the Go Center for more information.

Winter Homecoming is next week and the Theme is:  Mickey Madness

Today is Jungle Book, come to school with your fanny pack, sunglasses, and best safari attire.
Wednesday is Coco day. Dress up as your favorite Coco character with bright colors, flowers, and possibly a ukulele. (reminder no full face paint or masks)
Thursday is Inside Out. Come dressed in your class colors. Freshman, purple. Sophomores, red. Juniors, blue and seniors, Yellow.
Friday is Moana day. Dress in your favorite Hawaiian shirts and leis and make sure to come to support our boys and girls basketball team for their homecoming game against West Valley. The Blue Crew theme is Hawaiian.

Take a picture of yourselves dressed up for homecoming week and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #AUHSMickeyMadness for a chance to win a prize! On Friday, the person with the best picture will win a $20 Dutch Bros. gift card, from Leadership, to satisfy their caffeine cravings.

Winter Homecoming Dance:  Saturday, January 26th come experience a whole new world at our winter homecoming dance located at The Atrium in Downtown Redding.  Dance Tickets will be on sale this week during lunch, cost of tickets are single $12, single w/ ASB $10, and $15 at the door.

Attention Students: Wes Camp volunteers needed! If you’re at least 16 years old and have a minimum of 2.0 GPA, please apply. It looks great on college and scholarship applications, and is a great opportunity to get some community service hours. Applications are available in the Go Center.

Attention All students who took the ASVAB: We are offering two opportunities to attend an interpretation session to go over your scores and find what careers best fit your interests and skills, on Thursday, January 24th and Friday, January 25th both during RTI in the Library. Please sign-up in the Go Center for the date you’d like to attend!
