Any sophomore or junior that wants to take a free (only 8 community service hours required) education trip to Yosemite for a week in April need to apply to the McConnell Foundation between October 1 and October 15th.  Handouts on how to apply are located in the student store, girls’ locker room, Rm 316 Mrs. Romero, Rm 220 Mr. Clawson, Rm 321 Mr. Long, and Rm 322 Mr. Longnecker.
Attention all boys soccer players:  please meet in room 316 on Tuesday October 2nd at lunch time. This is a very important meeting. Please don’t miss it.

Students: Do you enjoy arguing? Debate? Acting? Public Speaking? Do you have any interest in the legal system? You could be a part of Anderson’s Mock Trial team. Check in with Mr. Jones to sign up or to get more information.

Attention Seniors: Shasta College Preview Day is Friday, October 5th. This is your chance to get all the information needed to go there next year. Pick up a permission slip and Activity Release in the Counseling Office and return by Monday, Oct. 1st. Space is limited, so sign up ASAP to get your spot!

Students: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be offering a Hunters Ed. Class here at Anderson High School starting November 18th from 10 AM-2 PM.  Three additional classes will be offered Dec. 16th, Jan. 20th and Feb. 17th.  The class will be in room 311.  The cost is $15 at the door.  If you have any questions call Joe Hale at 530-744-8474.  Seating is limited to the first 25 students. To register for the classes go to www.wildlife.ca.gov

Attention all girls soccer players:  Practice will begin on Oct 22 at 3 p.m. for all those not in a fall sport. You have to have a gold card to practice.  There is a preseason workout and an information packet in the student store, room 316, or the girls’ locker room.  Please sign in when you pick up a packet.

Key Club: There is a meeting today during lunch in room 326 to discuss the upcoming Blood Drive. If you are a current member or would like to be, please turn in the money for the club dues ASAP. The cost is fifteen dollars.

Gain valuable community service experience, looks great on any college application or resume, as well as a $100 stipend for your participation. For an application or more information see Dani in the Go Center.
