Shasta College TRIO
Talent Search students: Mrs. Patricia Esparza
is the new advisor and is now located in the GO Center. She is on campus
on Thursdays. Please stop by and see her if you are a new student and
would like more information about what the program has to offer, if you
are a Freshman or an existing student and would like to join TRIO, stop by and
see her. Shasta College TRIO takes applications all year long, but space
is limited.
Field Trip for Shasta
College TRIO students: If you are a Junior in
TRIO and would like an opportunity to visit University of Nevada, Reno, stop by
and pick up an application packet with Mrs. Esparza in the GO Center.
Permission slips are due by October 2. Space is very limited, so please get
those applications in!
Key
Club: There is a meeting on Thursday during RTI in room 326 to discuss
the upcoming Blood Drive. Please don’t miss it!
Attention
Freshmen: If you are interested in
being an ASB class officer: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, September
20th, in room #213 to elect Freshmen Class officers and begin the planning
stages of the Freshmen Class float.
Seniors:
For those taking the SAT or ACT this fall, there are FREE fee waivers
available. These tests should be taken by December so results can be sent to
your university by January for review. Please contact Mr. Martin for the
fee waivers and schedule of test dates and
locations.
Attention
All Senior Football Players: Please have the money turned in
for senior night posters to Marti in the student store by October 6th.
Seniors:
On Saturday October 21, we will take a van to CSU, Chico for their
preview day. We will tour the campus/rec center/residence halls, participate in
financial aid/scholarship/admissions workshops, and meet with student support
staff. There is no fee for students. FREE lunch will be
included. There will be limited seats available. Please contact Mr.
Martin to sign up and obtain a permission slip.
Attention
Seniors: The National Recognition Products sales representative will
be on campus this Wednesday Sept 20th at lunch time in our
Cafeteria. He will be here to collect orders for Graduation caps, gowns,
announcements and other items that can be ordered. He will also collect
orders for Class Rings . Please stop by and turn in orders or pick up
graduation information or catalogs from him so you won’t be late to place
your order before prices go up.
