Attention
All Senior Football Players: Please have the money turned in
for senior night posters to Marti in the student store by October 6th.
Attention all Shasta College TRIO Juniors: the deadline to turn in
permission slips for the University of Nevada field trip is next week, please
turn in your permission slips to Mrs. Esparza. There is a box on her desk
in the GO Center. If you are interested and did not pick up a permission slip,
there is still time, stop by the GO Center and pick one up.
Seniors,
Juniors, and ambitious sophomores: If you would like to improve your SAT scores, please join us this
Saturday for the Study Smart Tutors SAT workshop. The will be held from
10:00-2:00, and pizza will be provided. You will receive tips on better
test taking, a practice test, and a study guide. This event is FREE.
Please sign up with Mr. Martin in the counseling center.
Seniors:
If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, or would like to attend
either Chico State or Butte Community College after graduation, please join us
for the following campus visits. We will visit CSU, Chico for their
preview day on Saturday October 21. At Chico, there will be tours, an
information fair, scholarship and financial aid workshops, and opportunities to
meet with department and student support representatives. Following
Chico, we will head to Butte, where we will have either a general campus tour,
or visit the law enforcement training center. At the center, students will be
participating in the driving and firearms simulators, as well ride in a police
vehicle on the skid pan. This trip is FREE, and lunch will be provided.
Deadline to sign up is October 3. To sign up, please contact Mr. Martin
in the counseling center.
Juniors:
There will be a junior float meeting TODAY during lunch in Mr. Stouts class
room 116 located in freshman hall. If you are interested in participating in
the float building process you are required to be there.
Students:
The AUHS Marching Band will be holding our annual “Fill the Shako” in front of
Anderson Safeway on Saturday September 30th from 11-2. Go support your Cubs Marching Band.
Students: Last
day for Homecoming Nominations will be TODAY during lunch in the library.

Monday, October 2nd-Revenge of the Nerds: It’s time to kick
off the 2017 homecoming week with a Nerd Day. Make sure you come to school in full nerd attire and come out to the quad for
some trivia crack.

Tuesday, October 3rd-In Need of Some Country Air: Howdy
Y’all! Put on your boots, spurs, cowboy hats and head out to the quad at lunch
for a hay bucking contest. Have a hootin’ and hollerin’ good time.

Wednesday, October 4th-Skate or Die day: Make sure you catch
some air on your way to school wearing a thrasher shirt and some vans. Also
make sure to head out to the quad at lunch for a gnarly activity.

Thursday, October 5th- That’s so not Frat: Attention all
pledges! Dress out in your best Sperry’s, Chubbies, and Polo’s, then come out
at lunch and play a frat-tacular game of cornhole.

Friday, October 6th- S’port your Extreme Blue and Gold Day/Jock Day:
Wear your favorite jersey that represents our school colors! If you don’t own a
jersey, show up in some extreme blue and gold and S’port our Cubs.
Saturday,
October 7th- A Cliché Night
at the Dance!!: Put your dancing
shoes on and join us Saturday, October
7th from 8-11pm in the big gym! Dress casual and comfortable!! Tickets will be
on sale during lunch until Friday October 6th for $7 without an ASB, $5 with an ASB, and $10
at the door! (Please no heels)

a Dutch bros gift card! Post as many pictures you want and tag our blue crew
account @auhsbluecrew and tag #auhshoco2k17, #cubculture, #auhscubs to be enter
in the contest!
Dutch Bros crew in Anderson will be dressed up for our Homecoming week,
so go take Selfie’s with them.
