Shasta College TRIO
Talent Search students: Mrs. Patricia Esparza
is the new advisor and is now located in the GO Center. She is on campus
on Thursdays. Please stop by and see her if you are a new student and
would like more information about what the program has to offer, if you are
a Freshman or an existing student and would like to join TRIO, stop by and see
her. Shasta College TRIO takes applications all year long, but space is
limited.
Field Trip for Shasta
College TRIO students: If you are a Junior in
TRIO and would like an opportunity to visit University of Nevada, Reno, stop by
and pick up an application packet with Mrs. Esparza in the GO Center.
Permission slips are due by October 2. Space is very limited, so please get
those applications in!
Community Service Club: Do you need
service credit or simply want to help out in your community? We go out to
various places each Monday after school; transportation is provided. If
you are interested stop by room 127 (Mr. Osborn) and pick up your permission
form.
Key
Club: There is a meeting on Thursday during RTI in room 326 to discuss
the upcoming Blood Drive. Please don’t miss it!
Attention
Freshmen: If you are interested in
being an ASB class officer: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, September
20th, in room #213 to elect Freshmen Class officers and begin the planning
stages of the Freshmen Class float.
Seniors:
For those taking the SAT or ACT this fall, there are FREE fee waivers
available. These tests should be taken by December so results can be sent to
your university by January for review. Please contact Mr. Martin for the
fee waivers and schedule of test dates and
locations.
Seniors:
On Friday October 6, GEAR UP will take seniors to Shasta College for their
preview day. Events include tours, application and financial aid
workshops, information sessions, and lunch. All events are FREE.
Please contact Mr. Martin to sign up.
