Students: Hats
are no longer allowed to be carried around on campus. They must be placed into
a bag or backpack and not carried around by hand. Your hat will be confiscated
if you do not follow this directive and the appropriate discipline will be
issued.
SENIOR
REMINDER: Ads for Grads are due this
Friday, February 16th, please remind your parents of this due date.
Key
Club: There is a meeting Today during RTI in room 326. All members are
asked to attend and anyone interested in joining the club is welcome.
Track: Attention
all track participants please get a gold slip from Mrs. Ahern before practice
starts next Tuesday. Turn it into Mrs. Romero or Mr. Curiel.
JV
Softball: All freshman or sophomore girls interested in playing on the JV
softball team this spring, there will be a short team meeting in Coach
Williams’ room (219) this Thursday right after school at 2:40. We will be
discussing practice and game schedules and looking at player positions.
Bring your gold card if you have it. Our first official team practice is
Tuesday, February 20th. Basketball and soccer players should
be ready to start then. If you can’t make the meeting for some reason,
stop by room 219 and tell Coach Williams.
Students: A
Hunters Education class is being offered this Saturday February 17th
from 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. in room 311 right here on the Anderson High School
Campus. You must sign up on line at www.wildlife.ca.gov/hunter-education,
there are only 4 seats remaining for this Saturday’s class. A fee of $15 will
be collected at the door. March 17th and April 21st
are the next scheduled classes if you cannot attend this Saturday. Any
questions stop by room 311.
Field
Trip Opportunities: Shasta College is having a Preview Day for 2 of their
fastest growing career pathways: Health Science and Advanced Manufacturing.
These are 2 separate field trips on the same day, Friday March 2nd. The Health Science
Field Trip will take a tour of Shasta College’s medical programs and observe or
assist a simulated birth! The Manufacturing Field Trip will tour Shasta
College’s cutting edge manufacturing facilities and test out a virtual welder.
Pick up a permission slip from Dani in the Go Center if you would like to go on
one of these field trips. Space is limited, so don’t delay!
