FROM THE DEN – DAILY BULLETIN
Anderson Union High School
Tuesday ~ August 29, 2017

Attention Girls interested in playing basketball.  If you are not currently in a fall sport, come join us for Open Gym.  Every Monday and Wednesday night from 6-8 in the small gym.  You must have your Gold Card to participate.  Any Questions? See Ms. Maslin in the Library.

Students:  If you got your picture taken at Round up but didn’t pick up your student ID card, please see Ms. Murphy in the Student Store to pick it up.  Also, if you ordered pictures at Round Up they are available for pick up in the Student Store, before school, during lunch or after school until 3pm.

Seniors:  On Saturday October 21, we will take a van to CSU, Chico for their preview day. We will tour the campus/rec center/residence halls, participate in financial aid/scholarship/admissions workshops, and meet with student support staff.  There is no fee for students.  FREE lunch will be included.  There will be limited seats available.  Please contact Mr. Martin to sign up and obtain a permission slip.

Seniors:  Want to improve your SAT scores? On Saturday September 30, AUHS will host a FREE SAT test prep workshop in our library. You will receive a free workbook and practice test questions handout. Time 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  FREE snacks and pizza will be provided. Please contact Mr. Martin in the counseling center to sign up.

Seniors:  For those taking the SAT or ACT this fall, there are FREE fee waivers available. These tests should be taken by December so results can be sent to your university by January for review.  Please contact Mr. Martin for the fee waivers and schedule of test dates and locations.

All students: On Thursday September 14, Simpson University will host College Quest, a college fair for all high school students.  There will be 40+ colleges and universities represented, career pathway information, military service information, and two financial aid workshops. This FREE event will run from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  Please contact Mr. Martin in the counseling center for more information.

Swim Team: Boys and girls from all grade levels are still being encouraged to come out for the swim team.  It’s not too late to join.  If you might be interested in swimming, see Coach Williams in room 219 or come out to the pool after school to get signed up and find out more.
