Anderson Union High School
Tuesday~ March 12, 2019

Sophomores & Juniors: The Shasta County Board of Education is currently accepting applications for Student Board Members for the 2019/20 school year. The position is open to students who will be juniors or seniors next year. This is a very unique opportunity that allows students to be part of a governance process. Students gain a perspective of the educational system, rules, regulations, and practices of the Shasta County Board of Education, Shasta County Office of Education, local school districts, and the California Department of Education. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Applications must be post marked by March 25th or submitted in person by 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.

Students: If you are interested in taking the Advanced Placement Calculus or English Language and Composition test this spring, the tests will be proctored on campus. The cost of each exam is $94 dollars, however, some students will be eligible for a fee reduction. The Calculus test will be proctored on Tuesday, May 14 and the English test on Wednesday, May 15. If you are interested in taking the exams, or have questions about fee reductions, please see Marti in the Student Store. The deadline to pay for the exams in March 22.

Attention Students: Wes Camp volunteers needed! If you’re at least 16 years old and have a minimum of 2.0 GPA, please apply. It looks great on college and scholarship applications, and is a great opportunity to get some community service hours. Applications are available in the Go Center.
