Band: The Anderson Jazz Band is still in need of saxophone players if you play the alto or tenor saxophone and are interested in participating please contact Mr. Costa in Room 1000 right away. The group meets daily at 6:50 am.

Swim:  Feeling lazy? Out of shape? Lacking energy or tired a lot? Do you not have much to do after school each day?  Join the swim team and find more purpose this year!  Swim practice is after school each day, and that pool sure feels great on these hot afternoons.  See Coach Williams in room 219 or at the pool at 2:45 if you have questions or want to sign up.  Boys and girls from every grade are welcome to join the swim team today. Go for it!
Student Parking:  If you have turned in paperwork for your parking pass, please see Mr Tyner (Joe) in the attendance office to pick up your pass, if you are parking on campus and do not have a parking pass warnings notices will be issued, you have until Monday August 26th to get your paperwork in.
Cub Connection: Reminder that you can pick up your BOSS officer applications beginning today from Jen in room 212 and that interviews will be held Tuesday,  Aug 21 during lunch. Take advantage of earning community service hours, going on field trips, AND gaining leadership experience. Join Cub Connection's Board of Student Services. 
Students:  If you ordered pictures from the Round Up picture day come pick them up in the Student Store, if you would like your “proof” for ordering you can also pick that up in the student store.

Students:  If you got your picture taken at Round up but did not pick up your student ID card, please come to the Student Store to pick it up.

Attention Students: Upward Bound is currently accepting new student applications! Go on college field trips, get paid for good grades! If you want additional academic and college support services stop by the Go Center in the library to get more information about the benefits of the program.

Swim:  The swim team will be open for new members for the next two weeks.  If you are considering joining, see Mr. Williams in room 219 as soon as possible, so he can order you a free team suit.  Swimming is a great sport to try, even if you’ve never done another sport or you just want to get in shape and learn to swim better. Go talk to Mr. Williams today to join the swim team.
Attention all girls: Golf practice/tryouts start TODAY at Tucker Oaks Golf Course.  You do not have to know how to golf or even own clubs to tryout but you do have to have your gold card.  We will teach you how to play.  Make sure you have your physical and all your paperwork turned in and pick up you gold card in the student store.  If you want to play contact Mrs. Romero between passing periods. I am  in room 316 period 4 &5. If you can't get your gold card by Monday at least come and talk to me.

Students: All electronic devices need to be off and out of sight during the school day. The only time you will be able to access your device is during lunch. If you have specific questions regarding the policy, please ask your teachers or other staff members for guidance. Student handbooks are also available in the attendance office if you would like to reference all student policies.

Students: All Cookies, Backwoods, or other clothing items that promote drugs or tobacco are not allowed on campus at AUHS. No exceptions! This includes backpacks, stickers, and other accessories that promote these brands.

Students: Anderson High School has a strict attendance and tardy policy to promote student learning. We expect all students to be here every day and on-time to class. Please refer to the student handbook for specific guidelines on this topic and the repercussions for not meeting the standards we have established for all students.

Cross Country: Anyone interested in Cross Country please acquire your gold card from Marti in the Student Store practice  starts Monday Aug. 19th 3:15 to 4:45 on the track. Bring a water bottle and come prepared to run

Attention Students: The Anderson High Jazz Ensemble is looking for musicians. The group meets daily before school at 6:50 am in Room 1000. Instruments include Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar, Piano, Bass, and Drums. Please contact Mr. Costa if you are interested.

Attention All Seniors: Senior Sunset will be this Friday, August 16, 2019. Time of arrival is 6:30 AM at the home side bleachers. Jack's Doughnuts will be provided. First come, first serve.
Swim: Anderson Cubs, do you want to stay cool in this hot weather while learning skills, getting in shape, and having fun; then come out for the swim team.  Practice is just starting this week.  All boys and girls, 9th through 12th grade are encouraged to come out and become a Cub swimmer.  No experience is necessary.  Stop by room 219 and talk to Coach Williams about joining the team.  Don’t wait! Swim season runs from August through October.  It does not interfere with winter sports, but it will surely get you in shape for them.  Join the swim team today!
Students: Just a quick reminder that if you are planning on playing any sport this year you can come by the student store and pick up an athletic packet and get your physical done at any time so you can get your gold card for practice.  You do not have to wait for your season to start to get your paperwork done early.  All physicals need to be updated each school year.  Freshman, if you are not sure what a gold card is, come see Marti in the student store about your athletic process.
