We will be on a NO RTI schedule from now until August 23. Please use the following schedule for those

Students:
All electronic devices need to be off and out of sight during the school day.
The only time you will be able to access your device is during lunch. If you
have specific questions regarding the policy, please ask your teachers or other
staff members for guidance. Student handbooks are also available in the
attendance office if you would like to reference all student policies.
Students:
All Cookies, Backwoods, or other clothing items that promote drugs or tobacco
are not allowed on campus at AUHS. No exceptions! This includes backpacks,
stickers, and other accessories that promote these brands.
Students:
Anderson High School has a strict attendance and tardy policy to promote
student learning. We expect all students to be here every day and on-time to
class. Please refer to the student handbook for specific guidelines on this
topic and the repercussions for not meeting the standards we have established
for all students.
Cross Country:
Anyone interested in Cross Country please acquire your gold card from Marti in
the Student Store practice starts Monday
Aug. 19th 3:15 to 4:45 on the track. Bring a water bottle and come prepared to
run
Swim:
The swim team will be open for new members for the next two weeks. If you
are considering joining, see Mr. Williams in room 219 as soon as possible, so
he can order you a free team suit. Swimming is a great sport to try, even
if you’ve never done another sport or you just want to get in shape and learn
to swim better. Go talk to Mr. Williams today to join the swim team.
Attention
All Students: If you have a locker issue, please come into the library and
leave your information on the clipboard, located at the front desk.
ROP: All ROP Students will attend ROP today!
Buses pick up in bus loop at front on school. AM ROP bus will arrive at 9:40am,
PM ROP bus will arrive at 12pm. If you have any questions see Dani Pavone in
the Go Center.
Attention Students: The
Anderson High Jazz Ensemble is looking for musicians. The group meets daily
before school at 6:50 am in Room 1000. Instruments include Saxophone, Trumpet,
Trombone, Guitar, Piano, Bass, and Drums. Please contact Mr. Costa if you are
interested.
Attention all girls: Golf practice/tryouts start
on Monday the 19th at Tucker Oaks Golf Course. You do not
have to know how to golf or even own clubs to tryout but you do have
to have your gold card. We will teach you how to play. Make
sure you have your physical and all your paperwork turned in and pick up
you gold card in the student store. If you want to play contact Mrs.
Romero between passing periods. I am in room 316 period 4 &5. If you
can't get your gold card by Monday at least come and talk to me.
Girls
Tennis: All girls are welcome to join the AHS Girls Tennis.
Practice starts on Monday, August 19. Practices are Mon-Friday
3:15-5. Please see Marti in the student store for your gold card.

Attention Cubs: If you are still
interested in playing football this year it is not too late. Athletic paperwork
can be picked up from Marti in the student store. If you have any questions
please see Mr. Russell, Mr. Penick, or Mr. Stout.
Attention Students: Upward Bound is
currently accepting new student applications! Go on college field trips, get
paid for good grades! If you want additional academic and college support
services stop by the Go Center in the library to get more information about the
benefits of the program.
Pictures Make up day: Students who DID NOT have
their pictures taken during round up will get their pictures taken on Monday
August 19th this will also include all Staff for new Staff ID
badges. This is not for re-takes those
are scheduled for a later date.
Work Permits: All CURRENT work permits
that were issued during last school year or during summer are valid
until Friday, August 16, 2019. To renew your work permit pick up an
application in the Go Center. See Dani Pavone for questions.
Cub Connection: Come and check
out the BOSS team! We're having an unofficial meeting Tues, August
20 for any interested in finding out about BOSS and picking up officer
applications. See you Tuesday!
