Seniors: Sober Grad raffle tickets can be turned in every Monday in the Month of February, Brandi Seaters and Leni Baker will be in front of the cafeteria on Mondays at lunch to collect and hand out more to those who want them.
Winter Homecoming is this week. This years Winter Homecoming Spirit week’s theme is Road Trip Across America!
·         TODAY is USA Monday! Come decked out in your red, white, and blue and show your American spirit!
·         Tuesday:  will be Texas Tuesday! Wear your lassos, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats to bring out your inner country!
·         Wednesday: will be Oregon Wednesday! Embrace your true hippy and wear your tie-dye shirts and corduroy pants!
·         Thursday: will be Alaskan Thursday! It’s going to be chilly, so wear your big coats and snow gear, so you’re prepared for the blizzard!
·         Friday: will be Florida Friday! Wear your best beach attire as you long for a day of fun in the sun.
Homecoming Semi Formal Dance: Save the Date! Saturday, February 8th from 8-11 PM,  Leadership is hosting the “Under the City Lights” Dance. Come join us and soak in the New York atmosphere. Held at the Happy Valley Community Center, we encourage you to wear semi-formal attire. There will be prizes, food, and photo booth.  Tickets on sale during lunch in the student store for $5.00 pre-sale and $10.00 at the door.  Tickets will be on sale this week and next week until Thursday.
Attention Juniors: There is an information meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th in the library for any Juniors interested in spending their Senior year at Shasta College earning both high school and college credits. Interested juniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to apply.  An instructor from College Connection will be there to present information on the program and to answer any questions from students and Parents. See your counselor for more information, or click on the College Connection link under Academics on the Shasta College website.
Baseball:  We will officially start practices today from 3-5 at the baseball field for all non winter athletes, please remember to get your gold card, wear baseball pants, cleats, hat and bring your glove.
Cub Connection: Just a reminder, Cubs, we're here for you. Cub Connection offers free math and science tutoring with  Mr. Wyrick each Monday from 2:40 to 3:40 so if you are experiencing a challenge in either of these subjects, we've got just the help you need. 
Track: Track practice for all non-winter athletes starts next Monday, February 11. Boys and girls in all grades are encouraged to join the track team.  Get your gold athletic clearance card from Ms. Murphy in the student store and be ready to start training next week.

Congratulations Hunter Stroup, Kerri Pryde, Willy Jones, and Courtney Dearman on receiving your California FFA State Degree!!  You have earned a recognition only bestowed upon the top 1 % of FFA members in California.  You should be VERY proud of achievement.  Your Anderson FFA Ag family certainly is!!!

Last Day of ROP Preview Week! Today’s presentations in the Library will be -- 1st period: Auto Physics, 2nd period: Medical Careers. Meet these ROP teachers and find out if ROP is right for you. Activity Release is required!
BOYS GOLF SIGN-UPS:  Attention--all boys interested in playing on the golf team this spring-- sign up with Coach Longnecker in room 322 and receive your team information packet.  Practice will begin in late February.  See Ms. Murphy in the student store for your athletic packet if you have not played a school sport this year or to get your GOLD CARD if you have played a school sport.

Leadership will hold homecoming royalty nominations Wednesday and Thursday in Sophomore hall, in the computer lab, during lunch. Make sure you get votes in early, as the voting station will close to all newcomers 5 minutes before the bell rings.

Cub Connection: All AUHS students are invited to our Field Studies trip this Thursday, January 30th, to Bachman's Wholesome Catering from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Christian Bachman has become a sought-after local culinary chef who specializes in personalized banquets and gourmet food. On this trip, students will have the opportunity to learn how to get into the industry, what being a chef includes, and hands-on cooking demonstrations. See Jen in Room 212 for details. Space is limited so make sure to sign up early to explore this career possibility.
Ultimate Grade will be here Thursday, January 30th at 8:15 for a sophomore class ring meeting, he will be back on February 6th to collect more Senior orders.
