Winter Homecoming: This years Winter Homecoming Spirit week’s theme is Road Trip Across America!

·         TODAY is the final day of our Road Trip Across America and we have stopped in Sunny Florida for Florida Friday! Wear your best beach attire as you long for a day of fun in the sun.

Homecoming Semi Formal Dance: Saturday, February 8^th from 8-11 PM, Come join us for “Under the City Lights” Dance. Held at the Happy Valley Community Center, we encourage you to wear semi-formal attire. There will be prizes, food, and photo booth.  Tickets will be available at the door for $10.00. 

Freshman and Sophomores: There are 5 spots left in the UC Davis Upward Bound program. Now is the time to get enrolled to be able to participate in our upcoming trip to Humboldt State and our summer program. This summer we are staying in the Chico State dorms and will be flying our students to Honolulu, Hawaii where we will visit colleges and attend island activities. Please see Mr. Gosier in the GO Center for an application and more information.

Track: Remember all non-winter sport athletes, track practice will begin this Monday.  Be dressed for a workout and meet on the track at 2:50.  You must have your gold practice card signed by Ms. Murphy in the student store.  If you haven’t yet gotten your athletic paperwork for track, stop by the student store before you leave school today.  First-time tracksters are welcome.

Seniors: Reminder Yearbook Ads for Grads a.k.a. baby pictures are due to Mr Rouse room 329 by Wednesday February 12th.

·         TODAY our travels take us to frigid Alaska for Alaskan Thursday! It’s going to be chilly, so wear your big coats and snow gear, so you’re prepared for the blizzard!

·         Friday: will be Florida Friday! Wear your best beach attire as you long for a day of fun in the sun.

Homecoming Semi Formal Dance: Save the Date! Saturday, February 8^th from 8-11 PM, Leadership is hosting the “Under the City Lights” Dance. Come join us and soak in the New York atmosphere. Held at the Happy Valley Community Center, we encourage you to wear semi-formal attire. There will be prizes, food, and photo booth.  Tickets on sale during lunch in the student store for $5.00 pre-sale and $10.00 at the door.  Tickets will be on sale this week until Thursday.

Attention Juniors: There is an information meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. on February 5^th in the library for any Juniors interested in spending their Senior year at Shasta College earning both high school and college credits. Interested juniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to apply.  An instructor from College Connection will be there to present information on the program and to answer any questions from students and Parents. See your counselor for more information, or click on the College Connection link under Academics on the Shasta College website.

Cub Connection: Just a reminder, Cubs, we're here for you. Cub Connection offers free math and science tutoring with  Mr. Wyrick each Monday from 2:40 to 3:40 so if you are experiencing a challenge in either of these subjects, we've got just the help you need.
