TRIO/Upward
Bound Students: Simpson University is now offering a new scholarship for students
that have participated in a TRIO or Upward Bound program in high school. The
scholarship is worth $22,000 towards tuition and housing. If you are interested
in learning more there will be a presentation about the scholarship today
during RTI in room 330. If you are not assigned RTI please stop by to learn
more about the scholarship!
College Connection: For any Juniors interested in
spending their Senior Year as Shasta College taking both high school and
college classes, College Connection is accepting applications through the end
of March. See your counselor for an application or visit the Shasta
College website to apply online.
Attention all Students: Today is the day
to nominate your homecoming royalty for homecoming week. All students get to
nominate their peers or themselves to participate in the homecoming week as
royalty. The link to nominate can be found at andersoncubs.com under “in the headline” that says "Vote for
King and Queen: AUHS Homecoming." Click on the link and it will take you
to the Google Form that you will use to make your nominations.
Students: Next week, starting
Monday, March 22nd, Leadership is bringing back tradition to AUHS with
a Homecoming week! The theme this year is “Once Upon a Homecoming”. We will be
going back to our youth. Each spirit day will be based on classic children's
stories.

Monday: March 22- On the first
day of spirit week, find a fellow friend at school to twin with on Jack and
Jill Day.

Tuesday: March 23- Take the day to
fake an injury! Come with a fake sprained ankle or a cracked crown on Humpty
Dumpty Day!

Wednesday: March 24- Dress your
wackiest and ugliest on Ugly Duckling Day! Bust out the mismatch socks and the
crazy colors and patterns for Wednesday!

Thursday: March 25- On Thursday
will be Tortoise and the Hair day! Dress up as your favorite animal!

Friday: March 26- Friday will be
extreme blue and gold for Goldilocks and the three bears! Bring your best
school gear and show your school spirit!
