Seniors: This is the final week to turn in Ad’s for
Grads information, it is due by Feb 8th, please turn in your
information to Mr. Rouse or to Marti in the student store.
Juniors:
There is an information meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. tonight in
the Library for any Juniors interested in spending their Senior year at Shasta
College earning both high school and college credits. Interested juniors with a
minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to apply. An instructor from College
Connection will be there to present information on the program and to answer
any questions. See your counselor for more information, or click on the College
Connection link under Academics on the Shasta College website.
Baseball: tryouts begin this week at Volonte park at
3:30. Reminder to come get your Gold cards from Marti in the student store
before you go for try-outs and if you haven’t played another sport this year
come get an athletic packet to get your physical done.
Seniors
and Sophomores: Ultimate Grad Company will be back on campus tomorrow, Thursday
February 7th at lunch to collect late Senior Orders for Graduation
along with Class ring orders from sophomores.
Key
Club: There is a meeting during lunch on Thursday in room 326 for club
yearbook photos. If you are a member and have paid your club dues, please don’t
miss it.
BOYS
GOLF: All boys interested in playing on the golf team this spring, need
to sign up with Coach Longnecker in room 322. Make sure you complete your
Athletic Packet and get your gold card before February 25th.
Students: The
California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be offering a Hunters Ed. Class
here at Anderson High School the next class is Feb 17th from 10 AM-2
PM. The class will be in room 311. The cost is $15 at the
door. If you have any questions call Joe Hale at 530-744-8474.
Seating is limited to the first 25 students. To register for the classes
go to www.wildlife.ca.gov
Attention Students: Wes
Camp volunteers needed! If you’re at least 16 years old and have a minimum of
2.0 GPA, please apply. It looks great on college and scholarship applications,
and is a great opportunity to get some community service hours. Applications
are available in the Go Center.
Cub Connection: Treat your
Valentine to "Sweetheart Sweets" lollipop flowers available on
Valentine’s Day after school through the B.O.S.S. team at Cub Connection.
Singles for just a dollar, bouquets of seven pops for only $5.
Cub Connection: Have you ever thought
about being involved in a film project? Cub Connection and the B.O.S.S.
team are offering you the opportunity to help out with the production of
their short film. We'll need: screen writers, actors, camera persons, editors,
directors, make-up artists, costume designers, set directors, and extras!
If you want to be part of this exciting project, join our lunch meeting
next Friday Feb 15 in room 212.
