Attention
Seniors for Friday, Oct 21st: The
sales person for National Recognition Products will be on our campus at lunch
time in the Cafeteria to take orders for any graduation items such as
caps/gowns, graduation announcements, and class rings. If you need a catalog
or information, please stop by and pick up the order forms so you will be ready
to place your order at his next visit in November.
Seniors: Tonight at 5:30 pm we will
have our Financial Aid/Cash 4 College Night at AUHS in the library. Come to the
event with a parent, and if you and your parent have each created your FSA-ID,
you will be able to apply for the FAFSA that night. There will be
financial aid specialists to assist with your application. Refreshments will be
provided, and each parent who attends will be given a very helpful book.
Please contact Mr. Martin with any questions.
Key Club Blood Drive: The first Blood Drive of the
year will be held on Friday, October 28th. If you are sixteen or
older, you are eligible to give blood with parental permission. If you are
eighteen, you do not need permission, only an activity release slip. Sign up
with Mrs. Bradlyn in room 326. Sign-ups will also be held in the cafeteria during
lunch this Tuesday and Wednesday. Once you sign-up, please return all
permission slips and activity release forms to Mrs. Bradlyn in room 326.

on Friday October 21st during RTI in room 326.

Student Council Meeting: Next Tuesday, October 25th

to hear the latest news but are not a representative, you are also welcome to
attend.
Juniors and Seniors: If you may be interested
in attending CSU, Chico, there is an opportunity to attend their Preview Day on
Saturday, October 22. Activities include tours, scholarship
opportunities, financial aid workshops, meet with academic department and
admissions representatives, and learn about the support programs at CSU, Chico.
See Mr. Martin to sign up and get your authorization form. Space on the van is
limited, so return your form ASAP.
Service Learning: Do you like to help
others? Did you know helping others takes the focus off yourself and your
problems. Also, studies have shown people who are involved with helping others
are happier and tend to be more accepting. Why are we bringing this up? Because
after school on Monday’s the Service Learning Pod heads out to Prairie
School. If you are in need of community service hours or are simply
looking to give back and make connections; join our team today. See Mr.
Osborn in room 127 to sign up and make a difference, and don’t forget to do
something nice for someone today!
Lifetouch: If you had your pictures taken at the last make up day and would like to
look at your proofs they are available in the student store.
Girls Soccer: Girls need to have their
paperwork and physicals done and their gold card from the attendance office
turned in to Mrs. Romero by Monday, Oct 31. That is in 13 days. Soccer
will tentatively start November 1st from 3-5 p.m. rain or
shine. If you are still playing a fall sport at that time, please let
Mrs. Romero know.
Attention Boys Soccer: Coach Dan wants all physicals
and paper work done and gold cards from the attendance office turned into Mrs.
Romero by November 1st. If your card is in on time you will be
allowed to come and scrimmage for practice on the November 8th, 9th, and 10th.
