Work Permits: If you are under the age of 18 and not graduated from high school, then you must have a work permit to work over the summer. – All current work permits that have been issued during the school year are valid until August 16, 2019. If you get a job over the summer you MUST get a work permit from the Counseling Office.

Students: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be offering a Hunters Ed. Class here at Anderson High School starting May 5th from 12PM-4 PM. Three additional classes will be offered June 6th 12-4pm, July 7th 9am-1pm, and August 11th 9am-1pm. The class will be in room 311. The cost is $15 at the door. If you have any questions call Joe Hale at 530-744-8474. Seating is limited to the first 25 students. To register for the classes go to www.wildlife.ca.gov

Athletes:  If you are practicing or playing a summer sport you must have a gold card, also your athletic paperwork and physical will need to be updated before July 1st.  You can get gold cards and athletic paperwork from Marti in the Student Store until Wednesday,  June 5th, after that you will need to get them from Mrs. Ahern in the principal’s office.  If you DO NOT have updated paperwork turned in by July 1st you will not be able to continue with your sport until that is done.  Don’t delay and get your paperwork updated today.

Seniors: Mr. Mason will be signing your senior check-out sheets on Monday at 10 a.m. in the PAC. Please do not come to his office for a check-out signature, he will only be signing your sheets on Monday at 10 a.m.

Seniors:  don’t forget about the baccalaureate service this Sunday evening at 7:00 PM in the performing Arts Building.  Wear your cap and gown and bring your family and friends.  This is a very special event to honor you and your graduation.  See you there!

Seniors:  if you ordered a Senior shirt you can pick it up in the student store during lunch.

Yearbooks:  If you ordered a yearbook and haven’t picked it up please come see Marti in the Student Store at lunch, there are quite a few that haven’t been picked up yet, if you’re not sure come check her list. 

Seniors: Mr. Mason will be signing your senior check-out sheets on Monday at 10 a.m. in the PAC. Please do not come to his office for a check-out signature, he will only be signing your sheets on Monday at 10 a.m.

TRIO students: If you are interested in the summer field trip to visit colleges in Oregon, please pick up a permission slip and turn it in by this Friday.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Esparza.

Seniors:  Reminder to send your candid shots in to leadership for the Senior Slide show, send us you hanging out with your friends, send us your little league picture from when you were a kid, anything fun and funny, we haven’t had many sent so send yours today to leadership@andersoncubs.com

Seniors: If you have not yet received your career folder, please pick it up from the Go Center. It has the letter you wrote yourself freshman year!

Yearbooks: distribution of yearbooks will be during lunch in the student store, if you have not purchased a yearbook there are some left to purchase but they are going fast. 

Senior: There will be a motivational speaker here today during 3rd period, please go directly to the PAC after 2nd period.

Students:  There will be a slip n slide in the quad during lunch today, please have appropriate swim wear and towels if you would like to participate.

Attention Students: Wes Camp volunteers needed! If you’re at least 16 years old and have a minimum of 2.0 GPA, please apply. It looks great on college and scholarship applications, and is a great opportunity to get some community service hours. Applications are available in the Go Center.

Juniors: We are pleased to announce that ROP is now offering a Barbering course! Applications available in the Go Center. Submit completed applications to Shasta School of Cosmetology by Friday, May 24, 2019. See Dani for more information.

Students: Cub Connection will be selling Italian sodas after school every Wednesday and Friday until the end of the school year.

Shasta College TRIO ETS students!  There is a field trip being offered in the summer to visit Oregon Higher Ed institutions.  If you are interested, please pick up a permission slip in the GO Center.  Permission slips are due by May 31.  See Mrs. Esparza if you have questions.

Students: Do you text and drive?  Come see what can happen when you are a distracted driver.  We will have a crashed car on campus on Friday, May 24th during lunch.  Get educational information on DUI/Texting while driving, we want to see everyone have a safe summer.
