Key Club:  The first Key Club meeting of the school year will be held on Monday, August 27^th during lunch in room 327. If you were a member last year or are interested in joining, please don’t miss it.

Students: The Anderson High Jazz Ensemble is looking for players to join their group. They especially need alto and tenor saxophone players, and are looking for guitar and piano players for the rhythm section. Jazz Band meets at 6:50 am every morning in the band room. The only requirement is you must be able to read music. Hope to see you there!

Cub Connection:  Do you have school spirit? Cub Connection has a new Mascot uniform and will be holding try outs in room 212 on Monday August 27^th at 3pm. If you have further questions, please see Jennifer in room 212 for more details.

Attention all 9^th graders:  if you are interested on working on the freshman float for the football homecoming parade you must sign up with Mr. Curiel  in room # 124

Students:  All Cookies apparel is not allowed at AUHS effective immediately. Please do not wear any clothing, backpacks, or any other Cookies attire onto campus.

All Students: Upward Bound is currently accepting applications! Upward Bound provides students with free college experiences, career guidance, online tutoring services and much more! Turn in your applications to Mr. Zippay or Ms. Stacey in the GO Center by Friday August 24^th and receive a $25 gift card!

Students: the attendance/tardy policy at AUHS states the following for each quarter; 3 tardies – 1 detention, 7 tardies - 2 detentions, 10 tardies – Saturday School, and every 3 tardies after is an additional Saturday School. Be on time!

The AUHS Attendance Challenge is back! If you have 3 full day absences or less in each semester, you will be eligible to attend the event. Last year we gave away over $2000 dollars in prizes, free pizza, and the grand prize for each event was a Kindle Fire. Come to school and be rewarded!

Attention Students: The snack bar is now located in the cafeteria to the left of where we serve the pizza. Thank You!

Attention Seniors: Senior Sunrise is this Friday, August 24th. Time of arrival is 6:15 AM at the home side bleachers. Jack's Doughnuts will be provided. First come, First serve.

Attention All Working Students: Reminder – ALL work permits issued last school year or over the summer are now EXPIRED. If you need to renew your work permit please pick up an application from the Go Center and return it to Dani signed by your parent and employer.

Athletic Packets:  If you need a gold card, please pick up your athletic packets in the Student Store with Ms. Murphy from here on out, you will no longer do that in the attendance office.

Picture day:  Today Lifetouch will be on campus to photograph all students who were not at Round up along with all staff for ID cards and yearbook photos, this is NOT a picture re-take day, that will be scheduled for later in September.  Call slips will be sent out to students who need to go get pictures taken.

Attention all Anderson students: There is a way to be cool when the heat is unbearable.  There is a way to get is great shape, lose weight, and develop skills you will use the rest of your life.  There is a way to do all this and make friends and have fun too.  Join the swim team!  You don’t need to be able to swim well to make the team.  You will learn and improve every day you practice. See Mr. Williams in room 219, get athletic paperwork from Ms. Murphy in the student store, and join the Cub swim team today.
