Friday: “Color Wars” Freshman wear RED, Sophomores wear GREEN, Juniors wear BLUE, Seniors wear BLACK.
Sadies Dance Tickets are now on sale in the Student Store and at lunch in the quad.  Tickets are $7 with ASB, $8 without and $14.00 per couple.  Get your presale tickets early… tickets are limited and will go fast!!

Students:  Cub Connection is providing opportunities for summer employment don’t miss your last chance to learn about summer employment opportunities with Anderson Parks and Recreation.  Pam Lewis will be here today, room 112, 2:45 – 4:45.   Students that attended last week’s meeting said it was “Really great, and very informative.”  Stop by and see if there’s something for you.  If you have any questions about this event, Valerie can answer them.   See you there!

Native American students: there will be a meeting and activity with snacks today during RTI in room 111.

Key Club: There is a meeting in Mrs. Bradlyn’s room during RTI on Wednesday, March 28th to discuss the upcoming blood drive. Don’t miss it!

WES Camp Counselors needed for the week of April 4th. We need boys to help in cabins for AMS.

Congratulations to Brittany Graham for breaking the Pole Vault record at AUHS and the Burt Williams Classic at CV with a jump of 9 feet last weekend.  Way to go girl~

Seniors: Senior contracts are due by Monday, March 27. If you don’t have a contract you can pick one up in the attendance office. These must be turned in to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: If you are interested in an opportunity to attend a summer academic enrichment program, you may be eligible to receive a scholarship.  These programs are on college campuses throughout the United States, and allow you to have a college experience by taking classes, living in residence halls, and interacting with students from other parts of California and the nation.  For more information, please see Mr. Martin or your counselor, or see the details on our school website.  You may also apply online for the scholarship at www.collegeoptions.org/college-options-scholarships. Deadline: March 27, 2017.

Congratulations to the Anderson High School Band for an outstanding performance at this year’s CMEA Regional Festival!
The band received an Excellent rating and received accolades from concert goers and the host who has invited them to perform with his ensembles in the future. The band will be performing in April at Milpitas High School as part of Great America’s Music in the Parks Festival. Way to go CUBS!

Attention Seniors: On Monday, March 27th, the counselors from Shasta College will be conducting an Orientation for those graduating seniors who plan to attend Shasta College next year. There will be one Orientation ONLY on that day so it is very important that you have completed your Shasta College enrollment application prior to this event. Very Important!!! You must get an activity release for 3rd period on March 27th to attend the Orientation. You can pick them up in the Counseling Office or in the Go Center. Please get signed releases in to Miss Reid in the Counseling Office by the end of today (March 24th).
Juniors:  Would you like to improve your SAT or ACT scores?  Tomorrow, Saturday March 25 there will be a FREE SAT and ACT skill building workshop at Enterprise High School from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Lunch will be provided, as well as a free study booklet. To register, call College OPTIONS at 245-1845, or see Mr. Martin in the counseling center.
Attention Seniors:  The sales person for National Recognition Products will be on our campus at lunch time in the Cafeteria TODAY to take late orders for any graduation items such as caps/gowns, graduation announcements, and class rings.  Graduation is now only two months away so your order needs to be placed as soon as possible.  If you have not yet ordered and need a catalog or information, please stop by and ask him any questions you might have before placing your order or use the opportunity to hand in your order to him.  Order forms are also available in the Counseling and Principal’s Offices so you can have your order filled out and ready for him on March 24th.

Cheer tryouts are coming, if you are interested tryouts are April 18,19 &20th with a mandatory parent meeting on the 18th at 5 pm in the cafeteria.  You must have a current sports physical and a gold card from Mrs. Ahern in the attendance office.  If you have any questions, please call Dusty 941-2987.

Juniors and Seniors:  The deadline to apply for the spring break college trips has been extended until TODAY by the end of school.  We have room for a few more students, particularly on the Oregon trip.  Please see Mr. Martin if you are interested in the Oregon trip, as well as the trips to Butte College and Shasta College.

Juniors:  Would you like to improve your SAT or ACT scores?  This Saturday March 25 there will be a FREE SAT and ACT skill building workshop at Enterprise High School from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Lunch will be provided, as well as a free study booklet. To register, call College OPTIONS at 245-1845, or see Mr. Martin in the counseling center.
Juniors and Seniors:  GEAR UP will be hosting these FREE trips over Spring Break. Trip #1 is April 10 to Butte College (including the law enforcement academy). Trip #2 is April 11-12 to Southern Oregon University, University of Oregon, and Oregon State University. Trip #3 is April 13-14 to Chico State, Sac State, UC Davis, San Francisco State, Stanford, and Berkeley. Trip #4 is April 17 to Shasta College.  If room allows, you may attend multiple trips.  Applications are due TODAY.  For an application or any questions, please contact Mr. Martin or your counselor in the counseling center.

March Madness Sweet 16: If your top picks didn’t do as well as you had hoped, have no fear… there is a SWEET SIXTEEN CONSOLATION CONTEST that is now available when you click on the MARCH MADNESS LINK! Pick your FINAL FOUR, and the team you hope will win it all! Same point system will be used 10-8-6-4, and prizes will be given to the winner! But make sure you enter fast, if there is a TIE, the person that submits their FINAL FOUR FIRST WINS! ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE FIRST REGIONAL SEMI FINAL GAME TODAY. (TIME 4:09 PM PST)
