Students:  Are you ready to get back in the gym and start getting buckets?  Starting Tuesday March 10th, and running every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of the year, Cub Connection and Mr Jones will be holding an Open Gym basketball shooting POD from 3-4:30 in the gym, open to all students! See you there.
Sophomores and Juniors: If you are interested in participating in a program that will be an additional resource to you and help you plan and prepare for college, please see about joining the Shasta College TRIO program. By joining TRIO ETS now, you may also be eligible for the Spring Break 3-day field trip to visit college campuses in the Bay area and Central California.  Applications can be picked up from Mrs. Esparza in the Go Center. 

Prom fundraiser: The prom committee will be holding a fundraiser at Player’s Pizza in Anderson Wednesday, March 11th from 5-8 PM. Join us and ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the prom. Hope to see you there!

Key Club: The first annual Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 17th in the small gym. If you are interested in donating blood, please sign up for the Blood Drive in room 326. Participants must be at least sixteen years of age and receive parental permission to donate. If you are eighteen, you do not need your parents' permission. Please turn in your permission slip and activity release to Mrs. Bradlyn by Monday, March 16th.

Seniors: There will be a Senior meeting in the library at lunch on Thursday, March 12th .  All seniors please attend!

Cub Connection: It’s time for our annual “Amazing Race” for after school. Winners of the race will receive a $10 Dutch Bros card each. Put together your team of three and sign up with Jennifer in room 211/212. See you there!

Track: the track team is hoping to complete their team roster this week.  If you have thought of participating in track and field, it is not too late to start.  The first track meet is this Friday, and there is a full schedule ahead this spring—plenty of time to practice and get ready.
·         Boys soccer players:  Congratulations on a fantastic season, and for winning the Section Championship for Anderson High.  Since you are already in great shape, you are ready to bring your speed from the soccer field to the track.   Practice is at 3:00 each day.  Come join us soccer players!

8th grade invasion:  8th grade invasion is on campus today, students from other schools will be on campus for a variety of activities.  Please bring students to the quad area to make the Welcome tunnel for the 8th grade students for lunch.  We are on a regular day schedule today.
Key Club: There is a meeting in room 326 during lunch today to discuss the upcoming blood drive. All members should attend.

Seniors:  Senior Contracts are due signed and returned TODAY. Turn in signed contracts to Mr. Rouse or to the Attendance Office. See Ms. Armstrong for questions.

Seniors:  Ultimate Grad will be on campus today to pick up graduation orders.
Old West:  Old West starts today and runs thru Saturday March 7th.  Tickets can be purchased at AUHSD.net or Andersoncubs.com or at the door if available.  It will held at the Anderson Church of Christ with seating starting at 5:30 and the show begins at 6 p.m.
Attention All Ladies: Are you interested in going on a field trip to Shasta College’s annual Non-Traditional Employment for Women (N.E.W.) event on Friday, April 3rd? There will be information on high paying careers for women, including food and prizes!  Pick up a permission slip in the Go Center, and return your completed permission slip and activity release to Dani Pavone.

Track: The track team is still hoping to see more students come out; it’s not too late. Winter sport athletes (wrestlers, basketball players, and girls soccer players), get your gold card from Ms. Murphy and start practicing as soon as possible (3:00 o’clock every day).  Track is a great way to develop your strength, speed, and agility; and it’s fun too!   
Boys soccer team, good luck in your State play-off game today.  After you finish your tremendous season, the track team would love to see some of you show off your speed by joining the team. See Coach Williams in room 219 if you have any questions about the track team.

Congratulations to the boys soccer team winning the first round of the regional playoffs they will be playing again on Today at 4pm at Redding Soccer Park.

Athlete of the week for the Record Searchlight, Gonzolo Gomez is nominated for Athlete of the week so go to redding.com and vote for him.

·         There will be a Shasta College Application workshop on Thursday March 5 during RTI and afterschool, in the Library Lab.  If you are planning to attend Shasta College in the Fall and have not taken a Dual Enrolled course, you need to apply to Shasta College.   If you have questions, please see your counselor.

Boys Soccer wins Sections


Congratulation to the boys soccer team for capturing the section titles Saturday against Corning with a score of 1-0.  The boys are now off to regionals on Tuesday vs Colusa at 4pm at the Redding Soccer Park.  Come our and support the boys.
