All Juniors:  This Friday, October 18th you will go to the library for your math class.  This is for Juniors only.  Mr. Osborn and Mr. Clawson will be in the library to conduct math classes there that day.

Seniors:  Final Senior Portrait make up days will be today and tomorrow, students will be photographed during their senior social science class.

Students:  Are you looking for a job?  Rare Air in Redding is looking for employees, if you are interested in applying for work with them please go to their website rareairpark.com/jobopportunities to apply.

Attention all students: Next week is Homecoming week. The theme for this year is "Surfing the Web." It is centered around the connections that the worldwide web has provided to our lives.
·         Meme Monday:  Come to school Monday dressed up as your favorite meme character.
·         Tik Tok Tuesday: Mr. Long says it has something to do with an Eboy and a Visco Girl. 
·         Facebook Wednesday: or also known as old people Wednesday.
·         Thursday is Google Thursday: Freshmen will wear green, Sophomores red,  Juniors blue, and Seniors, "stay golden”
·         Friday is Twitter vs. Snapchat, or Blue vs. Gold. Pick a color and go extreme, Or pick them both and rock out as a true Cub.                                                                                                                                                                                         
Then Saturday join us for our "Instagram Famous" Homecoming dance.  Tickets will be on sale next week, more information to follow.
Attention all students: today is the last day to vote for Homecoming Nomination please go to the computer lab in sophomore hall next to the leadership room to do your voting
Attention All Students: Today, at lunch, if you are interested in participating in powderpuff as a player or cheerleader, leadership will have a table for sign-ups in the quad.
Cub Connection: Reaching out to ALL AUHS students! Next Thursday, Oct 24th, Cub Connection is going to McCloud for its October Field Studies event to observe the US Forest Service in action. We will be visiting an actual Forest Service site to observe  how they take care of our public lands. If you want to check out this career opportunity, this is the time to do it! See Jen in room 212 for specific information, space is limited to just 8 students so get signed up ASAP. 
Attention all girls soccer players: Tryouts start October 28th for those that are not in a fall sport.  If you are playing a fall sport and won’t be finished by then please let Mrs. Romero know that you intend to play.  If you don’t have your physical done pick up your paperwork from the student store and get it taken care of before the 29th. All girls will need to get a gold card from Marti in the student store and give it to Mrs. Romero in room 316 by Oct 28th.

Attention all students and staff: Last chance to apply for a free trip to Yosemite.  Due to the power outage last week they extended the deadline to this Friday.  If you are a sophomore or Junior you are eligible to apply at mcconnellfoundation.org.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Romero in room 316.

·         Thursday is Google Thursday: The world domination of information on the internet. The place that brings not stop info to us, including the wide array of the color spectrum to our lives. Freshmen will wear green, Sophomores red,  Juniors blue, and Seniors, "stay golden ponyboys, and ponygirls."
·         Friday is Twitter vs. Snapchat, or Blue vs. Gold. Pick a color and go extreme, Or pick them both and rock out as a true Cub.

Our professional lighting crew is providing world-class ambiance, so bring that special someone and enjoy a few hours away from your parents. Food and drinks are available along with a designated photoshoot area designed to boost your "insta" famous street cred. Tickets will be on sale next week, more information to follow.
Attention all students: Royalty Homecoming Nomination voting will be held on Wednesday and Thursday this week during lunch. This year the voting location will be the computer lab in Sophomore hall, next to the Leadership room.

Freshman and Sophomores: There are only 12 spots left in the Upward Bound program. If you still have an uncompleted application, please return it to the GO Center ASAP to be considered for the program. If you are in need of assistance with any part of it (like the essay), Mr. Gosier will be available during RTI and afterschool on Thursday October 10th in the GO Center. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to go on trips, get help with going to college, spend your summer earning college credits and out of the house, and earn a monthly stipend.
